Lilly in deal with Kowa to co-promote newly-approved statin Livalo in USA and commercialization rights for Latin America

US drug major Eli Lilly has signed an accord with Kowa Pharmaceuticals America, the US subsidiary of Japan’s Kyowa, to commercialize Livalo (pitavastatin). The companies have also entered into a licensing agreement in Latin America. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
