Action by the New Jersey Society of Hospital Pharmacists has been credited for the failure in the state legislature of two proposed bills which would have removed some purchasers' ability to obtain discounts from pharmaceutical suppliers.
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists notes that the pharmacists put together action kits to assist grassroots opposition to what it describes as these "discriminatory pricing" bills, and organized attendance to contest them at state committee meetings.
