Astra Licence Osteoporosis Treatment From Allelix
- Astra AB has obtained the rights to Allelix Biopharmaceuticals' ALX1-11 (recombinant human parathyroid hormone) for the treatment of osteoporosis. This includes Allelix' DNA technique for hormone manufacture. ALX1-11 rebuilds bone mass more quickly than with conventional therapy. Astra will assume responsibilty for current and future clinical development.
