AstraZeneca plans to partner more closely with pharmacy

Anglo-Swedish drug major AstraZeneca's UK company has revealed details of its new direct relationship with community pharmacies, dispensing doctors and hospitals, including the supply and delivery service and commercial arrangements.

The firm has confirmed that its new supply and delivery service, announced earlier in 2007, will start on February 2, 2008. From this point AAH Pharmaceuticals and UniChem will act as AstraZeneca's agency partners to deliver its medicines directly to customers and, ultimately, patients in the UK.
