AZ's MedImmune chief shock departure; Tony Zook interim replacement
Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical major AstraZeneca has named Tony Zook, executive vice president of global marketing, as interim chief executive of its MedImmune biologics unit replacing Dave Mott, who will leave the firm at the end of the month. The shock departure of Mr Mott comes less than a year after the firm was purchased by AZ. The chief executive was contracted to MedImmune until 2009.
