B-MS exec pleads guilty to anti-trust dealings
A former senior executive of Bristol-Myers Squibb, Andrew Bodnar, has pleaded guilty for his role in the US drug major's dishonest dealings with the federal government relating to a patent deal involving Plavix (clopidogrel), a blockbuster blood-thinner developed with Sanofi-Aventis.
The plea follows B-MS' June 11, 2007, agreement to plead guilty and pay a $1.0 million criminal fine for misleading the US government about a deal that threatened to reduce competition and could have lowered the cost of the drug.
