Bausch & Lomb's Besivance cleared in USA
The US Food and Drug Administration has approved Bausch & Lomb's Besivance (besifloxacin ophthalmic suspension) 0.6% for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, one of the most common eye conditions in the world.
The new topical antibacterial, which will be available in US pharmacies in the second quarter, is administered via sterile ophthalmic drops, that treat a wide range of pathogens, including those that most commonly cause bacterial conjunctivitis.
