Bayer data encourages early MS treatment
Germany's Bayer HealthCare presented new five-year data from the BENEFIT study, which it says confirm that early initiation of Betaferon (interferon beta-1b) treatment in patients with a first event suggestive of multiple sclerosis significantly delays the onset of the disease, at the World Congress on Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis in Montreal, Canada.
