Bayer Schering Pharma, the UK unit of Germany's Bayer HealthCare, is to distribute some products under a "new reduced wholesaler model," via Alliance Healthcare, Phoenix Healthcare Distribution and AAH Pharmaceuticals, effective from July 1. The changes will "greatly simplify the supply chain" for the firm's products, Bayer argued, noting that other firms have introduced direct-to-pharmacy schemes.
