Bayer updates press on current pipeline
Germany-based Bayer Healthcare's head of pharmaceuticals, Wolfgang Plischke, updated journalists from 22 countries on the firm's pipeline at its Perspective on Innovation 2008 conference held at the BayKomm exhibition center in Leverkusen (Marketletter Decemeber 22).
Noting recent developments, Dr Plischke said that Yaz Plus, the new formulation of Yasmin (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) was due to launch in 2010. He also explained that a wet age-related macular degeneration product had entered Phase III, following promising Phase II results.
