The Belgian research-based pharmaceutical association, pharma.be, has moved to the next phase of its promotion of "best use of medicines" with the distribution of information packs to the country's specialist physicians. The group described the campaign as a direct consequence of the Medicines Day held in November 2008: an opinion poll conducted for the event by Ipsos found that patients consider doctors' and pharmacists' advice about medicines to be "indispensable."
