
Icelandic biosimilars specialist Alvotech (Nasdaq: ALVO) has begun launching Gobivaz (golimumab), the world’s first biosimilar to Simponi (golimumab), across Europe through partner Advanz Pharma. The product targets immune-mediated inflammatory diseases and is available in the same formats as the originator.
In the UK, uptake is supported by a National Health Service England tender award, providing a clear route into routine clinical use. Launches in other European Economic Area markets will follow national pricing and reimbursement decisions.
