Samsung Bioepis and Organon expand commercialization of Pyzchiva

South Korean biosimilar specialist Samsung Bioepis and Organon, a global healthcare company with a deep expertise in biosimilars, announced the expansion of their development and commercialization agreement, whereby Organon will obtain commercialization rights in Canada to Pyzchiva, Samsung Bioepis’ biosimilar referencing Johnson & Johnson’s (NYSE: JNJ) Stelara (ustekinumab).

Organon is in the process of being acquired by India’s Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (BSE: 524715), in an all‑cash transaction with an enterprise valuation of $ 1.75 billion.
