US House markup of expedited Access to Biosimilars Act welcomed
The US Biosimilars Council and the Association for Accessible Medicines (AAM) have lauded legislative progress as the House Energy and Commerce Committee marked up and voted to approve the Expedited Access to Biosimilars Act and the Biosimilars Red Tape Elimination Act.
These bills were passed out of the committee unanimously and are now ready for a vote by the full House or Representatives. The Biosimilars Red Tape Elimination Act was voted out of the Senate Health Committee last week and is also ready for a vote of the full Senate.
