4 August 2026

German biotech BioNTech (Nasdaq: BNTX) today reported financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2026 and provided an update on its corporate progress. The firm’s shares were down 3.4% at $89.11 in pre-market trading following the results.

Revenues were 105.6 million euros ($121.5 million) for the second quarter of 2026, compared to 260.8 million euros. Year-to-date revenues were 223.7 million, euros compared to 443.6 million euros. The decreases in both quarterly and year-to-date revenues compared to the prior year were primarily driven by lower demand from BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccines, the company noted.
