Boehringer expands cancer vaccine push with Prime Vector licensing deal

Privately-held German drugmaker Boehringer Ingelheim has signed a licensing agreement with biotech Prime Vector Technologies (PVT), gaining access to its Orf virus (ORFV) platform for the development of next-generation cancer vaccines.

Under the deal, PVT has assigned certain patents and granted Boehringer an exclusive oncology license to the platform. Financial terms were not disclosed, but PVT is eligible for an upfront payment, development, regulatory and commercial milestones, and royalties on future product sales.
