Cabaletta names ElevateBio as second partner for rese-cel

21 August 2026

US biotech Cabaletta Bio (Nasdaq: CABA) has named ElevateBio as a second contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) for its lead cell therapy rese-cel (resecabtagene autoleucel), placing a privately held Massachusetts operator alongside Swiss CDMO major Lonza (SIX: LONN) as the candidate moves toward a regulatory filing.

The choice of partner is the notable detail. ElevateBio runs BaseCamp, a cGMP manufacturing and process development business at Waltham, Massachusetts. In January the company said it had lifted capacity at the Waltham site by 30% and completed shell construction on a second facility at Pittsburgh, due to be operational in 2027.
