
US biotech Cocrystal Pharma (Nasdaq: COCP) has appointed James Sapirstein as its chief executive (CEO), effective immediately.
Mr Sapirstein, a seasoned leader with extensive experience in pharmaceutical industry leadership and development, will also be nominated for a position on the company’s board of directors. He replaces Sam Lee and Jim Martin, who previously served as co-chief executive officers. Mr Lee will continue with the company as president and transition to the role of Chief Scientific Officer, while Mr Martin will remain as chief financial officer.
