Defence Thera appoints Amie Phinney as president and CEO

Canada-based biotech Defence Therapeutics (CSE: DTC) has announced a significant leadership change, appointing Dr Amie Phinney as president and chief executive (CEO), effective August 1, 2026.

In conjunction with this appointment, Sébastien Plouffe, the company’s founder and former CEO, will transition to the role of executive chairman of the board. In this new capacity, Mr Plouffe will continue to provide strategic guidance, focusing on financing initiatives, corporate partnerships, and the company’s long-term growth trajectory.
