Departing Vinay Prasad ‘didn’t want to be a distraction to the great work of the FDA’
Vinay Prasad has left his post at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) less than three months after joining the agency.
Dr Prasad was seen as a part of the brave new world at the FDA and the wider Department of Health and Human Services under Robert F Kennedy Jr, when he was appointed director of the regulator’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research in early May.
