Fiocruz deal with WuXi Biologics will strengthen Brazil's health industrial base

Fiocruz and the Chinese company WuXi Biologics (HKEX: 2269) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on creating technological capabilities and strengthening Brazil's health industrial base. The agreement was formalized during an official mission to China led by the Minister of Health, Alexandre Padilha.

The initiative lays the groundwork for structured international cooperation in the areas of research, technological development, training, and large-scale production of immunobiologicals. The Minister of Health emphasized that the partnership strengthens Fiocruz’s international role in the field of biological products for the Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) and in addressing global health challenges.
