
Ying Huang has been named chief executive of K2 Therapeutics, a Boston and Singapore-based biotech assembling a cancer pipeline through licensing rather than in-house discovery. The appointment comes less than three weeks after he left the top job at USA-based cell therapy firm Legend Biotech (Nasdaq: LEGN), where his resignation took effect on July 24 after seven years at the company.
K2 was founded in 2024 by Boston investment firm MPM BioImpact with $50 million in seed financing, and says its portfolio now runs to eight programs spanning antibody-drug conjugates and T-cell engagers.
