Gilead exercises option for MacroGenics pre-clinical bispecific program

US biotech MacroGenics (Nasdaq: MGNX) revealed that Gilead Sciences (Nasdaq: GILD) has exercised its option to secure an exclusive license for a pre-clinical bispecific program, a move that will provide MacroGenics with a $10 million payment.

This option is part of a broader collaboration agreement established between the two companies in 2022, to develop MGD024, an investigational, bispecific antibody that binds CD123 and CD3 using MacroGenics’ DART platform, and two additional bispecific research programs.
