Kairos Pharma adds NSCLC asset to portfolio

US clinical-stage biotech Kairos Pharma (NYSE: KAPA), which is focused on innovative cancer therapeutics, has provided a mid-year update for 2026 and a look ahead to the rest of the year in a letter to shareholders from chief executive Dr John Yu. The firm’s shares rose 4.8% to $0.48 on the announcement.

He noted that, “as we move toward the close of the second quarter, Kairos has been focused on adding some potentially impactful new development candidates to our existing pipeline. It announced the signing of a term sheet for a strategic asset acquisition with Celyn Therapeutics, a privately held biotechnology company backed by OrbiMed and Torrey Pines Investment.”
