
USA-based Khartis Therapeutics has come out of stealth with $95 million raised to date and a plan to develop an oral pill for thyroid eye disease (TED), a market currently served only by antibodies given by intravenous infusion. The San Diego biotech announced the debut on Thursday.
The total includes $50 million in a newly closed series B led by Forge Life Science Partners, with Longwood Fund and Alexandria Venture Investments joining existing backers Foresite Capital, Lilly Asia Ventures and Nextech Invest. The company was originally incubated inside Foresite Labs and was founded in 2024.
