Lancet publication adds weight to UCB and Biogen lupus drug case

Belgian biopharma UCB (Euronext Brussels: UCB) and US biotech Biogen (Nasdaq: BIIB) have announced the publication in The Lancet of Phase III data for dapirolizumab pegol, their investigational treatment for moderate-to-severe active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

The PHOENYCS GO study met its primary endpoint, with dapirolizumab pegol added to standard of care showing a statistically significant improvement in disease activity versus placebo plus standard of care at week 48.
