
Acquisitive US pharma major Eli Lilly (NYSE: LLY) today announced agreements to acquire three companies, Curevo, LimmaTech Biologics, and Vaccine Company, that expand its research and development efforts into infectious disease. The transactions advance Lilly's strategy of investing in differentiated technology platforms to address significant health problems, the company noted.
The latest buys follows seven M&A deals by Lilly so his year, following the $202 million bid for Engage just last week, as well Ajax Therapeutics for up to $2.3 billion and Centessa Pharmaceuticals a month earlier for up to $ 7.8 billion, in addition to the bid earlier for Kelonia Therapeutics for $7 billion.
