Merck & Co and Eisai ‘s Phase III LITESPARK-012 trial disappoints

US pharma giant Merck & Co (NYSE: MRK) and Japan’s Eisai (TYO: 4523) today announced results from the Phase III LITESPARK-012 trial evaluating combination regimens for the first-line treatment of patients with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (RCC), which failed to reach the main goals in patients with kidney cancer.
