Roche pulls out of deal with Adaptive

Washington, USA-based immunotherapy specialist Adaptive Biotechnologies (Nasdaq: ADPT) said Monday that its strategic collaboration and licensing agreement with Genentech will be terminated, effective February 9, 2026, with news sending the firm’s shares down 4.8% to $12.41 by close of trading.

Adaptive and Genentech, a subsidiary of Swiss pharma giant Roche (ROG: SIX), entered the agreement in 2019 to collaborate on research and development of certain cancer cell therapy products.
