Sarepta stock soars on muscular dystrophy results

Sarepta Therapeutics (Nasdaq: SRPT) saw its share price rocket following positive trial results for its lead gene therapy, targeting Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

The therapy — named rAAVrh.74.MHCK7 — produced 38% the normal rate of dystrophin in three young triallists. The figure is four times what Sarepta had hoped.
