Secretome raises $30 million as Duchenne heart race gathers pace

US biotech Secretome Therapeutics has raised $30 million in series A financing from RA Capital Management, giving the Texan company fresh backing for a neonatal cardiac cell therapy pipeline led by STM-01.

The round was funded by RA Capital as sole investor. Secretome said the money will support company operations and help move STM-01 toward pivotal Phase II and Phase III development in Duchenne muscular dystrophy-associated cardiomyopathy.
