Latigo bets its IPO on non-opioid pain data

20 July 2026

USA-based biotech Latigo Biotherapeutics has thrown open its books to public investors, using a Friday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission to reveal mid-stage results for its lead non-opioid pain candidate LTG-001 while laying out plans to raise fresh capital through a stock market debut.

The Phase II trial tested LTG-001, an oral Nav1.8 inhibitor, in patients recovering from abdominoplasty. High-dose LTG-001 hit the primary goal, delivering roughly 50% greater pain relief than the opioid comparator Vicodin (acetaminophen/hydrocodone), as measured over the first 48 hours. The candidate also brought faster relief than the opioid and kept just over half of patients opioid-free during treatment.
