Spero Therapeutics secures $105 million royalty financing

Cambridge, USA-based biotech Spero Therapeutics (Nasdaq: SPRO) on Tuesday announced a $105 million non-recourse, non-dilutive royalty financing transaction with affiliates of Healthcare Royalty, a business of KKR.

This financing will primarily fund the advancement of Spero’s lead immunology drug candidate, SP001, a Phase II-ready anti-CD40L monoclonal antibody, into Phase II development.
