WuXi AppTec sues US government over Pentagon blacklist

Chinese life sciences services group WuXi AppTec (HKEX: 2359) has sued the US government over its inclusion on a Pentagon list of companies alleged to have links to China’s military, escalating a dispute with potentially wide implications for pharma outsourcing.

The company filed the case on June 11 in the US District Court for the District of Columbia, challenging its designation as a Chinese military company under Section 1260H of the National Defense Authorization Act.
