Zepzelca combo gains foothold in Asia-Pacific with new nods

Singapore-based Specialised Therapeutics has secured approval for Zepzelca (lurbinectedin) with Roche’s (ROG: SIX) Tecentriq (atezolizumab) as a first-line maintenance treatment for extensive-stage small cell lung cancer in Australia and Singapore, extending the regimen into earlier use in the treatment pathway.

The combination is intended for patients whose disease has not progressed after induction therapy with chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The approvals follow a positive opinion in Europe and were secured via the US Food and Drug Administration’s Project Orbis initiative.
