Epitopea teams up with Genevant in $124 million deal

Epitopea, a UK and Canada-based cancer immunotherapeutics company, has partnered with nucleic acid delivery specialist Genevant Sciences to develop new RNA-based therapies targeting proprietary tumor antigens.

The collaboration could see Genevant earn up to $124 million in upfront and milestone payments, alongside royalties on future sales.

The companies aim to create mRNA-lipid nanoparticle therapies for an undisclosed cancer indication, with Epitopea gaining a nonexclusive global license to related delivery technology.
