Bismuth Licensing Deal For Orphan Medical

- Orphan Medical has licensed a new bismuth product from Josman Laboratories for incorporation into Helicobacter pylori eradication therapies. Orphan intends to formulate the colloidal bismuth subcitrate into a chewing gum to see whether this approach can reduce H pylori in the mouth. Patent applications have been filed in Europe, the USA and several other countries.
