Last month, the Future Health Report was presented at the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.
The report states that it is time for policymakers to adopt more holistic and interconnected approaches—from funding to clinical guidelines and care models—to tackle the non-communicable diseases (NCDs) challenge.
It is recommended that care is delivered in a more coordinated way through data, emerging technology and the opportunity of disease clusters, along with new incentives and payment models to support interconnectedness.
