Brazil OKs copy of Merck's Stocrin
Jose Gomes Temporao, Brazil's Health Minister, has cleared the local manufacture of a copy-cat version of US drug major Merck & Co's antiretroviral Stocrin (efavirenz). The announcement follows the collapse of negotiations between the government of the largest country in South America and the New Jersey, USA-based firm (Marketletters passim).
