BRIEF—Sanofi in talks to sell 50% of Opella

French pharma major Sanofi revealed it has entered into negotiations with private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) for the potential sale of a 50% controlling stake in Opella, its consumer healthcare business.

Should these discussions lead to a positive outcome, any agreement would be subject to the completion of the necessary social processes.

Further updates on the potential separation of Opella will be provided in due course, when a decision is made.
