Campaigners heading to Washington in pharma battle

23 January 2025

Patients For Affordable Drugs, Public Citizen, Social Security Works and other campaigners are to gather in Washington, DC next week with the aim of delivering a message to pharma.

Their campaign will call for company bosses to drop their lawsuits and let Medicare negotiate lower drug prices for millions of Americans under the 2022 Drug Price Law., introduced under former President Joe Biden.

After collecting more than 200,000 signatures on a petition, patients and advocates will present a display of public support and call on the drug industry CEOs to withdraw their lawsuits.
