Celebrex launched in Canada

- Searle and Pfizer have launched their new selectivecyclo-oxygenase-2 inhibitor Celebrex (celecoxib) in Canada for the relief of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in adults. The retail price in pharmacies for the drug will be approximately C$0.69-C$0.72 ($0.47-0.49) for the 100mg dose and C$1.38-C$1.45 for the 200mg form, excluding professional dispensing fees.
