- Celgene Corp has submitted an Investigational New Drug Applicationwith the US Food and Drug Administration to begin Phase I/II clinical trials for a chirally pure, single-isomer version of Ciba's Ritalin (methylphenidate), used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Thought to improve on efficacy and reduce side effects, the Celgene product will begin trials shortly in centers in the USA and Canada.
