- Centocor has licensed its monoclonal antibody-based glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonist product, ReoPro (abciximab), to Fujisawa of Japan. The product is already launched in the USA and several European markets for the prevention of complications in patients undergoing percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty. Fujisawa will now collaborate with Nippon Centocor on ReoPro's development in Japan, where it is in Phase II trials. Terms were not disclosed.
