CollaGenex Shows Future Promise In Periodontal Disease
- CollaGenex has reported promising data from a placebo-controlled,double-blinded trial with its unnamed investigational drug for periodontal disease. After a treatment period of 12 months, a significant improvement in clinical endpoints, including attachment levels and bleeding, were seen in the patients receiving the drug, compared to those receiving placebo. There was no difference between the two groups with regard to side effects.
