Combination Therapy For Psoriasis

- Combining Leo Laboratories' Dovonex (calcipotriol) ointment with acitretin leads to significantly higher treatment responses in patients with severe and extensive psoriasis vulgaris than acitretin alone, according to a study reported jointly by Dutch and English researchers. This is the first study of the combination, and results show a 67% response rate with the combination, compared to 43% with acitretin alone. Importantly, the combination was not associated with greater skin irritancy.
