- Connective Therapeutics has commenced a 525-patient, multi-center, three-arm Phase III trial of gamma interferon in severe atopic dermatitis. In the 12-week trial, patients will receive 50ug/m2 either daily or every other day, or placebo by subcutaneous injection. The Phase II trial demonstrated over 50% improvement in symptoms in 17 of 24 patients after one year of therapy, and in 10 of 16 patients after two years.
