A tripartite of contract research organizations, including the Japan CRO Association, the Association of Clinical Research Organization in the USA and the European CRO Federation, at a conference in Tokyo, Japan, made a declaration urging the three bodies to strengthen their cooperation, share common acknowledgement of several issues concerning the CRO business, standardize clinical trial practices, ensure scientific quality and data integrity, enhance ethical standards for patients and ensure fair competition. The declaration also called for a global meeting of CROs in which all such associations worldwide would participate in the future.
