Dragon Pharmaceuticals, which is based in Vancouver, Canada, hascompleted a private placement which has raised $8 million. The proceeds of the financing will be used to provide working capital and to expand production capacity at the company's erythropoietin manufacturing facility in Nanjing, China. Dragon stated that some of the funds will also be allocated to developing generic products, such as insulin.
