Reversing a recent trend in individual US states towards limiting drugmakers from product liability law suits involving Food and Drug Administration-approved drugs, Michigan's Democrat-controlled House of Representatives has adopted a bill, by 70 votes to 39, to repeal legal restrictions on liability. Michigan's Republican-dominated Senate is due to consider amendments. The Michigan Trial Lawyers' Association raised funds for Democratic candidates in last year's state elections.
